the Dufour 40 in "La
Barquera"

It is with the
demonstration boat,
a standard boat,
tested by all the
press and elected
boat of the year
2003, that a factory
crew, skippered by
one of them,
participated in the
"La Barquera" from
May 25th to May 31st
2003.
This 550 mile
offshore race from
the South of
Brittany to the
North of Spain
across the Bay of
Biscay, has allowed
the factory team to
test the performance
of the Dufour 40 by
finishing 3rd in a
field of 50 entries,
ahead of many boats
and crew who were
more experienced in
doing this offshore
race.
This excellent
result confirms the
philosophy of the
new Dufour range
which combines
comfort and
performance for
sailors who love
offshore racing and
cruising. It also
reveals the splendid
sailing capability
on top of the
comfort and
aesthetics that are
already well
recognized in the
new Dufour series.
