PRESS INFORMATION
La Rochelle : July 16th, 2003

On Friday 4th of July 2003, clear
skies and westerly breeze greeted
the yachts on the afternoon off the
RYS line for a start at 15.00 at ten
minutes intervals to the west for
the 5 groups in a total fleet of 204
yachts.
The light wind made it a race
that required total concentration
and a good tactics.
In IRC 1, a fleet of 46 boats,
the Dufour 44 "Lady F" was 2nd on
the finish line in 27 hours and 9
minutes and 3rd in corrected time.
"Lady F" was launched in St Malo
just ten days before the start of
the race, Mr Reminiac and his crew
had only the sailing time to Cowes
to tune and get familiar with the
boat.
After the 3rd place of the Dufour
40 at "La Barquera" race, this
superb performance by a Dufour 44,
again confirms the philosophy of the
new Dufour line which combines
comfort and performance for sailors
who love offshore racing and
cruising.
