Q. What if I want more time?
A. You may purchase up to 8 Units. Each Unit represents 7 half days or 3 1/2 full days per month.
Q. What is included with the Yacht?
A. The Yacht is complete and ready to sail with everything you need as part of the cost.
Q. What is the Flexi-Charter Yacht-Share program?
A. There are three main programs. One for people who wish to own yachts (Member Owners), those who just wish to use yachts (Standard Members) and those who need training to be able to use the yacht (Training Members).
Q. Who is PLM?
A. PLM, Practical Leisure Management, is a company dedicated to providing affordable leisure solutions to its members.
Q. What leisure products are available from PLM?
A. PLM is initially focused on "Yacht Solutions".
Q. Where can I find a PLM Yacht?
A. Initially we are launching out of Port Credit Marina. Look for our yachts at a dock near you...
Q. Can I buy a Franchise?
A. PLM will be offering the ability to be involved in the near future.
Q. How to I make a reservation?
A. Initially it will be available through email or voice request.
Later these reservations will be made on-line through the Internet.
Q. How do I become a Flexi-Charter Yacht-Share member?
A. You contact Dufour Yachts Canada or PLM and participate on the existing yacht in the program or
request another Dufour product.
If you would like to be an owner member, you could purchase your preferred Dufour product and we will find
Flexi-Charter members to be part of the Flexi-Charter Fleet.
Q. Is there a referral program?
A. We have a referral program that offers $100 for any unique lead which results in a new member. So feel free to talk to us about anyone who you think might be interested.
Q. How much does it cost to be a Flexi-Charter Yacht-Share member?
A. If you just wish to use the yacht then there is simply a security/insurance fee and a monthly fee based on the Yacht selected.
If you wish to be a Member Owner then ask Dufour or your PLM contact for pricing on a specific yacht product.
Q. How long has PLM Flexi-Charter been in existence?
A. This is a brand new concept being introduced in to the Canadian Market Place this season.
Q. Why hasn't this type of product been offered before?
A. It has been available for the high-end leisure products such as jets and mega yachts...
The timing is now because the Internet allows a convenient way to provide a convenient method of managing the various members' use of the yacht.
Q. When can I become a Flexi-Charter Yacht-Share member?
A. Now on existing inventory where space is available.
If you have requested a Dufour product which is not part of the program, then we have to find others who want to be on that Dufour yacht model.
If you wish to be a Flexi-Charter Yacht-Share Owner, then your selected yacht availability will determine when you can start.
Q. What are my responsibilities?
A. Take care of the Yacht according to the PLM terms and conditions agreement.
Q. Who is qualified as a qualified skipper?
A. Someone who has passes at least the basic cruising requirements such as CYA program.
Q. What if I need training?
A. PLM 'Best Skipper' Programs offers a number of training programs for all levels of sailing. We offer a 'Best Mate' Programs for the crew as well.
