Training Member Program
PLM is introducing as part of the overall program a training program, which is specifically design for this type of higher end yacht in the 30-45 foot range.
The purpose of this program is not only to provide skills training for Member who sign up but also to create a market for new sailors, by providing training on board for those who have some skills gap and need to be training on the type of yacht you will be actually using.
Many courses may not offer the larger yachts, which is now a clear trend in the yacht marketplace.
There are a few different programs, which are summarized below:
"Best Skipper"
Level 1 - Basic Crusing Standard - For The Novice Sailor
Level 2 - Intermediate Cruising Standard - For The Intermediate Sailor
Level 3 - Advanced Crusing Standard - For The More Experienced Sailor
All these programs cover all the skills required to operate the yacht safely and explain the role of the Skipper and the Mate working as a team.
"Best Mate"
This is aimed at the Member's crew who learn what the Skipper requires in terms of a safe and fun outing.
Focus will be on various aspects including the following:
- Docking
- Collision Avoidance
- "Extra Eyes"
We provide these at low cost so that it is attractive for prospects to participate in these programs.
